The Opportunity
We are looking for a Studio Production Manager to take full ownership of our studio operations and serve as the heartbeat of our Studio team. Reporting directly to the Head of Product Content, you will manage day-to-day studio workflows, direct our photography and imaging teams, and oversee financial budgets while expanding our AI image production capabilities. The Role Scope
The Studio Production Manager owns Studio operations and is responsible for overseeing the team and production of all e-commerce model imagery, product photography, and marketing assets, ensuring all studio output is of the highest standard, delivered on time, and within budget.
Role Key Responsibilities:
Studio Operations & Team Leadership
- Lead day-to-day studio operations, including scheduling traditional shoots, coordinating product samples, and managing daily team priorities.
- Directly manage, train, and develop a team of Photographers, Retouchers, and Image Executives, ensuring clear communication through weekly meetings.
- Oversee studio setups and photographic equipment maintenance, ensuring health & safety standards and safe working practices across all studio environments.
AI Integration & Workflow Innovation
- Develop and integrate AI-assisted photography and image production tools into daily workflows to improve efficiency, asset consistency, and brand standards.
- Test new AI tools in collaboration with wider business teams, assessing their quality and suitability for e-commerce production.
- Manage reshoots and image amendments, actively determining whether issues can be resolved via AI or post-production before requesting additional photography.
Asset Management & Quality Assurance
- Supervise Digital Asset Management (DAM), image coding, and file naming before server upload, maintaining organised digital storage, back-ups, and archiving.
- Ensure all brand and supplier imagery for UK and European warehouses is processed swiftly in alignment with business trading priorities.
- Partner with Retouchers to ensure final imagery accurately reflects physical product samples according to industry standards.
Financial Management & Strategic Collaboration
- Manage the Studio financial budget and resource allocation, ensuring all studio outputs align with cost expectations.
- Liaise with Buying on model casting and AI avatars to reflect product ranges, and collaborate with Creative teams on marketing editorials and seasonal campaigns.
- Work alongside the Head of Product Content to continuously refine processes and creative output in line with the commercial Trading plan.

About You
What We’re Looking For
- Background & Leadership: Strong experience in photography, e-commerce, or studio operations, with proven experience managing photography or content production teams.
- Organisational Excellence: Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage sample workflows, studio resources, and changing priorities.
- People & Management Style: Approachable, supportive management style with excellent communication skills - who inspires collaborative working.
- Technical & AI Knowledge: Sound understanding of model, mannequin, and still-life photography, with experience or a strong interest in developing AI-assisted image production tools.
- Commercial & Financial Acumen: Experience managing studio budgets, combined with comfort using operational data and productivity measures to continuously improve studio performance.
- Quality & Accuracy: A keen eye for image quality, brand consistency, and accurate product representation.
