Studio Technician (Freelance)
๐ Location: Onsite - London
๐ฐ Rate: ยฃ200 per day
โณ Hours: Standard shift is 9:00 AM โ 6:00 PM (9 hours including a 1-hour lunch break). Occasional adjusted schedules (e.g., 8:00 AM start or 7:00 PM finish) capped at 9 total hours.
๐๏ธ Scheduling: Shifts are allocated by the Production Manager and may be updated up to 24 hours in advance based on studio demand.
Role Overview ๐๏ธ
We are seeking adaptable, detail-oriented Freelance Studio Technicians to support our day-to-day production operations. You will be responsible for preparing studio spaces, managing audio and visual equipment, supporting live sessions, and delivering exceptional technical support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities ๐ ๏ธ
- Equipment Setup & Breakdown: Configure cameras, route audio gear, and prepare tracking/recording environments tailored to each session's specifications.
- Session Support: Run, monitor, and record live production sessions, ensuring high-quality audio and video capture.
- Client Assistance: Serve as a welcoming technical point of contact, helping clients navigate studio gear and providing hands-on support throughout their booking.
- Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve signal flow, hardware, or software issues as they arise during live operations.
- Studio Maintenance: Reset recording spaces, control rooms, and equipment back to baseline standard between shifts and client sessions.

Requirements & Qualifications ๐๏ธ
- Hands-on experience operating professional studio audio equipment, signal routing, and camera setups.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot technical and production glitches under tight timelines.
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused demeanor.
- Flexibility to handle variable shift start times (with 24 hours' notice).
