Studio Web & Technology Specialist
Stroud, Gloucestershire - on site
Full time | 1 year contract with review for extension | Salary negotiable depending on experience
Start: November 2026
We’re looking for a Studio Web & Technology Specialist to join our small creative team at Steve Russell Studios.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining web design and development with technology and digital support across the studio.
A big part of the job will be designing, building and looking after websites for us and our clients, currently using WordPress, HTML and CSS. You’ll also help develop and look after the technology that keeps the studio running. From computers, email and networks to storage, cloud systems and digital archives.

We work across photography, film, print, photogrammetry and web, mainly for artists, galleries, creatives and businesses. Our projects are varied and often unusual, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys finding solutions, trying new things and working out how technology can help us make ideas happen.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a good working knowledge of WordPress, HTML and CSS
- Has a good eye for design, typography and how websites should look and work
- Is confident with computers and enjoys solving technical problems
- Is interested in AI, new technology and better ways of working
- Is organised, proactive and communicates well
- Is curious, practical and happy to get involved
- Wants to keep learning and developing their skills

You don’t need to know everything. Experience with things like hosting, domains, SEO, email systems, networking, servers, data management or cloud systems would be useful, but just as important is being able to work things out and learn what you don’t know.
We’re a small studio, so this isn’t a narrow web or IT job. It’s an opportunity to become an important part of the team, working across websites, technology and the interesting projects that come through the door.
