Job Description
ASOS CREATIVE STUDIOS – STYLING MANAGER
Styling Managers at ASOS are experienced and skilled leadership figures who have a talented eye for all thing’s creative and practical ability for implementation. As one of our Styling Managers, you will be working closely with the Styling Lead and wider senior teams. You will lead, mentor and inspire the team to deliver the best ecommerce pdp, homepage, campaign, AMG, AI and social assets in the industry, to appeal directly to the 20 something customer. You will drive department efficiency, whilst thinking commercially and innovatively. You will have the ability to successfully lead a team with a creative, strategic and operational mindset.
What you’ll be doing…
Reporting directly into the Styling Lead, you will be responsible for all aspects of overseeing the day-to-day running of the Styling team.
- Ensuring creative implementation, budget, cost per product, and volumetric KPIs are adhered to
- Deliver exceptional standard of industry leading styling on all shoot types including AI initiatives
- Possess the skill and knowledge to lead a team of Senior, Midweight and Junior Stylists monitoring all processes throughout the day
- Supporting with pre shoot rack ups and sign offs of styling along with AI prompting and generations
- Responsible for creation, maintenance and communication of creative shoot guides from a Styling perspective
- Responsible for ensuring all Stylists are creatively equipped to deliver styling expectations in line with ASOS expectations
- Working with the other managers to develop and implement strategic segment evolution through current trends and fashion relevancy
- Collaborating with department and commercial stakeholders on future shoot development and relaying direction to team in concise effective way
- Initiate and lead Stylists in pre planning and preparation for scheduled shoots
- Oversee styling orders and communication, ensuring we are adhering to our monthly team budget and consistency
- Own workshops and train the team in varied creative specialties
- Forming strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders develop Styling and oversee all wardrobe and Segment updates. Championing, all aspects of ASOS Studios in every interaction
- Monitoring the Styling team performance KPIs/ SLAs and constantly identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency
- Conducting regular 1-2-1’s with your direct reports. Reviewing personal objectives, ensuring they are supported and guided, and their skill set is developed, and progression assessed
- Encouraging team growth and development through objectives and training, ensuring the team are striving to support in the delivery of the department strategy
- Leading and contributing to team and departmental meetings
- Be recognised as an aspirational figure within your team and the wider department
- Guiding the team to follow established processes to deliver agreed creative and quality standards in line with departmental strategy
- Working with PX and internal resourcers to select, interview and onboard new full-timers. Simultaneously maintain a high-quality freelance pool to augment the team when volume requires
- Deployment of fulltime and freelance team resource to optimise the collective team skill set including day to day management in response to absence
- Encouraging the team to be authentic, brave and creative and to follow all company and departmental strategies
- Responsible for developing and implementing your leadership style and communication in line with ASOS Behaviours policy
- Working closely with other Team Leaders, Leads and Management team to successfully deliver the department strategy. Build strong, professional and collaborative relationships with the wider studio team
- Demonstrating excellent brand awareness by identifying areas for review, researching ideas and assessing competition to ensure we are market leaders

Qualifications

- 5+ Years as a Senior Level Stylist either Freelance, for a brand or multi brand platform. Substantial portfolio of styling work for high level campaigns, advertising, e-commerce and editorial. Experienced Leader.
