Stylist

As an All-Around Hair Stylist with Color Expertise, you will bring a versatile skill set to The Color Bar, providing a range of hair services while specializing in hair coloring techniques. Your role involves offering haircuts, styling, and a variety of coloring services to meet the unique preferences and needs of our clients. With your proficiency in both cutting and coloring, you contribute to a diverse and vibrant salon experience.

Responsibilities

  • Client Consultation: Conduct thorough consultations to understand clients’ desired hair services, including cuts, styles, and color preferences.
  • Hair Cutting and Styling: Offer precision haircuts, personalized styling, and blow-dry services that align with clients’ desired looks.
  • Hair Coloring: Perform an array of hair coloring techniques, such as highlights, balayage, ombre, creative color, and root touch-ups.
  • Color Consultation: Expertly consult with clients on color options, taking into account their skin tone, features, and lifestyle.
  • Color Correction: Provide solutions for color corrections and adjustments to achieve the desired outcome.
  • Product Recommendations: Educate clients about hair care and color-preserving products, recommending suitable options.
  • Hair Health: Advise clients on maintaining healthy hair and preserving color vibrancy through proper care routines.
  • Special Occasion Styling: Create captivating hairstyles for special events and occasions.
  • Client Engagement: Build strong client relationships, actively listen to their preferences, and offer professional advice.
  • Appointment Management: Efficiently schedule and manage appointments, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Retail Sales: Promote and recommend retail products, enhancing the salon experience for clients.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow stylists and team members to provide comprehensive services.
  • Continual Learning: Stay updated on the latest trends, techniques, and innovations in both cutting and coloring.
  • Salon Presentation: Maintain a clean and organized work station, reflecting the professionalism of the salon.
  • Upselling: Suggest additional services or color maintenance appointments to enhance the client experience.

Qualifications

  • Education: At least High School Graduate
  • Experience: Previous experience as a stylist in a salon, with a focus on both hair cutting and coloring.
  • Color Expertise: Proficient in various hair coloring techniques, demonstrating a mastery of color theory.
  • Hair Cutting and Styling: Skilled in a variety of cutting and styling techniques to meet diverse client preferences.
  • Client-Centric Approach: Ability to understand and translate clients’ desires into exceptional services.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to consult with clients effectively and explain color options.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensure precision in both cutting and coloring techniques.
  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with professional hair care products, color lines, and brands.
  • Creativity: A flair for creative hair styling and personalized color creations.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service skills and a commitment to exceeding client expectations.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage your schedule efficiently to accommodate various services.
  • Team Player: Willingness to collaborate with salon colleagues to create a positive and cohesive work environment.
  • Professional Appearance: Maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times.
