Summary

A major Tier 1 infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join their team to play a part in delivering the landmark Net Zero Teesside (NZT) project based in Redcar. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in one of the UK's most ambitious decarbonisation initiatives, helping to shape the future of sustainable infrastructure.

As a Sub Agent you will take ownership of specific civil engineering packages on site - driving delivery, leading your team and ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, complex site environment.

We will also consider strong Senior Engineers who are ready to take the step up into a Sub Agent position.

Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of defined civil engineering packages, managing programme, quality and budget.
  • Leading and developing engineers on site, coordinating subcontractor activity day-to-day.
  • Championing health and safety across your area of works - reviewing RAMS and driving a strong safety culture.
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress, flagging risks early and keeping works on programme.
  • Maintaining accurate site records and upholding quality standards throughout.
  • Supporting cost control, forecasting and reporting to the wider delivery team.
  • Building strong working relationships with the client, design team and key stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
