Sub Agent – Water Infrastructure

Surrey | Contract | Up to £380 per day | IR35 TBC

The Project

A significant water infrastructure programme delivering major upgrades across treatment and network assets across Surrey, the kind of project where a capable Sub Agent can make a real difference and build a strong long-term relationship with a contractor who has plenty of work ahead.

The Role

As Sub Agent you will sit between the site management team and the engineering function, taking ownership of day-to-day delivery across your work packages, coordinating site teams, managing subcontractors, driving programme, and ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained throughout. You will be trusted to run your section with a degree of autonomy.

This is the right role for someone who is ready to step beyond pure engineering and take genuine management responsibility or for an experienced Sub Agent who wants to be part of a well-structured, properly resourced scheme rather than being spread too thin.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
