Sub Agent
Role Overview
We are seeking a Sub Agent, ideally qualified to BEng standard, with sound knowledge and experience of civil engineering construction activities, including earthworks, road works, structures and drainage.
The role is site-based across mainland Scotland and Highlands and islands, where you will work as part of a team across a variety of civil engineering sectors.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Assist colleagues and agents in delivering projects while helping to control costs.
- Carry out site inductions and briefings.
- Safely manage site activities and mentor site engineers.
- Develop and manage Inspection and Test Plans to support high-quality, efficient work.
- Liaise and correspond with clients, employers' representatives and consulting engineers.
- Work and consult with public utilities and local authorities where required.
- Review designs and specifications and manage change.
- Support procurement activities.

- Sound knowledge and experience of civil engineering construction activities, including earthworks, road works, structures and drainage.
- Ideally qualified to BEng standard in a civil engineering discipline.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and third-party authorities.
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
