Sub Agent

Role Overview

We are seeking a Sub Agent, ideally qualified to BEng standard, with sound knowledge and experience of civil engineering construction activities, including earthworks, road works, structures and drainage.

The role is site-based across mainland Scotland and Highlands and islands, where you will work as part of a team across a variety of civil engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

  • Assist colleagues and agents in delivering projects while helping to control costs.
  • Carry out site inductions and briefings.
  • Safely manage site activities and mentor site engineers.
  • Develop and manage Inspection and Test Plans to support high-quality, efficient work.
  • Liaise and correspond with clients, employers' representatives and consulting engineers.
  • Work and consult with public utilities and local authorities where required.
  • Review designs and specifications and manage change.
  • Support procurement activities.

  • Sound knowledge and experience of civil engineering construction activities, including earthworks, road works, structures and drainage.
  • Ideally qualified to BEng standard in a civil engineering discipline.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and third-party authorities.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence.
