Faslane
We are recruiting a Sub-Agent to support the delivery of works at Faslane under the Clyde Framework. The Sub-Agent will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with contractual, technical, and customer requirements.
Role Purpose
To manage and coordinate construction activities on site, ensuring effective implementation of engineering controls, compliance with drawings and specifications, and delivery of works to programme while maintaining the highest standards of health & safety, quality, environmental compliance, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily site operations to achieve programme, productivity, and quality targets.
- Ensure accurate implementation of engineering controls in line with contract drawings, specifications, and testing regimes.
- Prepare, review, and implement risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), delivering briefings to supervisors and operatives.
- Ensure all works are executed safely and in compliance with legal health, safety, and environmental requirements, promoting a strong safety culture aligned with our 100% SAFE values.
- Programme works and manage labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors to ensure effective and efficient resource utilisation.
- Liaise daily with the Senior Foreman regarding programme, labour, productivity, and short-term planning.
- Lead the resolution of technical issues and drive continuous improvement in progress, quality, and performance.
- Coordinate shifts and trades to ensure consistency of operations and efficient delivery.
- Develop forecasts, monitor performance against programme and cost targets, and regularly review the detailed working programme.
- Implement and monitor quality plans, liaising with the Project Quality Manager on all quality matters.
- Manage project risks in line with company procedures and implement appropriate policies and controls.
- Complete accurate daily and weekly records and reports.
- Organise and manage direct labour, subcontractors, and agency staff effectively.
- Develop directly employed labour through supervision, appraisals, training, absence management, and motivation.
- Arrange ordering and delivery of materials, ensuring compliance with waste and environmental regulations.
- Monitor and report the performance of supply chain partners.
- Ensure the delivery of a high-quality end product that meets customer expectations.
- Promote best practice, business improvement, and contribute to the organisation’s Perfect Delivery culture.

Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant industry qualification (HND, HNC, BEng, or equivalent).
- Valid CSCS card.
- SMSTS (5-day) qualification.
- PTS (as required for the framework).
- CRE accreditation (desirable).
- Proven experience in civil engineering and construction, ideally within a site management or delivery role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, health & safety legislation, environmental requirements, and industry standards.
- Ability to produce, interpret, and explain plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Hands-on approach to planning, programming, and commercial aspects of project delivery.
- Good IT skills, with confidence using MS Office and relevant project systems.
