Employment Type: Permanent
Location: Sellafield, Cumbria
Salary: £55,000–£60,000 + Car Allowance (£5,750) + fuel card + Relocation allowance (must live 1.5 hours away or more from site)

Role Overview
A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join a major £600 million infrastructure programme at Sellafield. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile, long-term civil infrastructure programme within one of the UK’s most highly regulated and safety-critical environments.
The Sub Agent will support the management and delivery of site operations, coordinating construction activities, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme, quality, environmental, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the management of day-to-day site operations and construction activities.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to achieve planned milestones.
- Monitor progress against the construction programme and report issues, risks, and delays.
- Support the Project Manager and Site Management Team with project delivery.
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, RAMS, and project procedures.
- Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental performance.
- Ensure compliance with Sellafield procedures and requirements for working in a highly regulated environment.
- Prepare, review, and maintain site documentation, including risk assessments and method statements.
- Coordinate interfaces between construction disciplines, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
- Monitor productivity, quality, resources, and progress on site.
- Assist with resolving technical, operational, and construction-related issues.
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Support the achievement of programme, cost, quality, and safety objectives.

Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Sub Agent, Site Agent, Section Engineer, or similar construction delivery role.
- Experience working on large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction delivery, site operations, and project controls.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and project delivery within regulated environments.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Valid SMSTS certification.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working on nuclear or high-security sites.
- Experience delivering major infrastructure programmes.
- Familiarity with digital construction and project management systems.
- Experience working within highly regulated, safety-critical environments.
- Knowledge of Sellafield standards, procedures, and working practices.
