Sub Agent - Marine and Tunnel Preconstruction

About The Opportunity

Specialized in civil engineering and engineering structures, Bouygues Travaux Publics is one of the world leaders in the fields of land use planning and sustainable infrastructure construction. Bouygues Travaux Publics is committed to diversity and is open to all talents.

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), we will support the building for Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.

The Civil Works Alliance is delivering the critical civil works for this once-in-a-generation project. Within the Marine and Tunnel (M&T) portion, we are seeking a talented Sub Agent to join our marine preconstruction team in London, with mobilisation to Suffolk as the project progresses. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic alliance of world-class contractors, working on one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects.

Reporting to the Marine Preconstruction Manager for the Marine and Tunnel Portion, the Sub Agent will play a pivotal role in developing construction methods, assessing delivery risks and opportunities, and ensuring readiness for offshore dredging, rock placement, heavy lifting, monopile installation, drilling and grouting campaigns in the North Sea.

What You Will Do

  • Coordinate subcontractor Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) activities for a defined section of the works, ensuring outputs are delivered in line with project requirements
  • Develop construction methodologies and undertake constructability reviews for marine construction activities, including onshore work hubs and muster ports, marine logistics, vessel navigation and mooring arrangements, heavy lifting and transportation operations, large diameter drilling and piling activities, and grouting operations
  • Review and assess proposed construction solutions, identifying impacts on safety, programme, cost and risk
  • Identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with the section of works
  • Develop scopes of work and technical requirements for subcontract tender packages and support procurement activities, including subcontractor evaluations
  • Support mobilisation and readiness planning as the project transitions from preconstruction into offshore construction and delivery
  • Maintain accurate records, reports and technical documentation relating to assigned workstreams
  • Promote a positive safety culture and actively support continuous improvement initiatives across the project team

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
