Freelance Agent / Sub-Agent - North Coast of Scotland

We are currently looking for an experienced Agent or Sub-Agent to join a major civil engineering project based in North Coast of Scotland for an immediate start. This is initially a minimum 3-month contract, with the potential for a longer-term opportunity for candidates who would be willing to transfer and work on projects in Orkney thereafter.

The Role

You will be supporting the delivery of key civil engineering works, initially overseeing:

  • Duct installation works
  • Small concrete structure packages
  • Coordination and supervision of site activities
  • Ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to programme
  • Liaising with the existing Site Agent and wider project team

You will be working alongside an experienced Agent who is beginning work on another project, making this an excellent opportunity to take ownership of work fronts and make an immediate impact.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
