Role Description

This is an on-site, Sub-Contract Electrician role based in South Yorkshire. The Sub-Contract Electrician will carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on commercial, industrial, and residential projects in line with project specifications and regulatory standards.   • Installing wiring, fixtures, and equipment
  • Testing and commissioning systems

  • Working closely with project managers and other trades
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures
  • Responding to site issues or defects promptly

The Sub-Contract Electrician is expected to:

  • Manage time effectively
  • Maintain tools and equipment
  • Represent Round Rock Services Ltd professionally on client sites

Qualifications/Experience

  • Demonstrated experience as an electrician in commercial, industrial, or residential environments, with strong practical installation and maintenance skills.
  • Solid understanding of electrical regulations, codes, and safety standards, with a commitment to safe working practices and risk assessment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications, and to follow detailed instructions accurately.
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including fault finding and testing of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with capacity to coordinate with project managers, other trades, and clients on-site.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications, apprenticeship completion, or trade certifications; current licensing or registration as required by local regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain high standards of workmanship under time constraints.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to reach various sites both locally and nationwide, willingness to work flexible hours when project needs require.
  • Gold card is essential with 18th edition and test and inspection desirable.
