Subregional Head of Security

About the Role The role of Subregional Head of Security is critical in safeguarding Digital Realty’s assets, ensuring compliance, and maintaining operational continuity across the sub-region. This position is responsible for leading global security strategy execution, overseeing physical security operations, and aligning security practices with international standards. Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders is key to driving a secure and compliant environment.


Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement sub-regional security strategy, aligning it with global objectives
  • Oversee physical security operations, including access control, CCTV, and site security
  • Serve as the escalation point for security incidents, driving resolution and risk prevention
  • Manage security vendors, contracts, SLAs, and performance oversight
  • Lead, coach, and develop security teams across multiple sites
  • Own the sub-regional security budget, resource planning, and cost optimisation
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, audits, and certifications (e.g., SOC2, ISO, PCI)
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain a risk register
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies, including law enforcement
  • Support customer audits, site visits, and security-related reporting

What You’ll Need

Experience & Qualifications

  • Significant experience in multi-site security management
  • Degree qualified or ASIS CPP (or equivalent professional certification)
  • Strong knowledge of security risk management and industry best practices
  • Experience in managing third-party security providers
  • Expertise in financial and operational acumen
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
