About the Role
Our client, a leading player in the manufacturing and production industry, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Subcontract Administrator to join their team based in Stevenage. This is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in procuring goods and services, managing sub-contract work, and ensuring compliance within the supply chain.
Responsibilities
As a Subcontract Administrator, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that all operations run smoothly. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing sub-contract jobs to ensure compliance with agreed KPIs and delivery timelines.
- Raising purchase orders for sub-contract work, new equipment, and replacement parts.
- Collaborating with the UK tech team to address queries and ensure compliance with sub-contract governance.
- Assisting in negotiating prices and recovering associated costs.
- Communicating effectively with internal departments such as Laboratory, Logistics, and UK Sales to meet customer objectives.

To thrive in this role, candidates should possess:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- The ability to assimilate technical information quickly.
- A self-motivated, team-oriented approach.
- Capability to work with minimal supervision in a very busy environment.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Previous experience in a purchasing and/or administration environment isn't necessary but would be an advantage.
