EPS works closely with contractors, consulting engineers, architects, developers, and private clients across residential, public, and private sector schemes. Services range from engineering calculations and specifications to construction methodology advice, site demonstrations, and ongoing technical support. By engaging early in the project lifecycle, EPS helps clients select economical solutions that remain compliant, efficient, and straightforward to construct.

Role Description

The Subcontractor Fencing / Retaining Walls Installer Squad role is a contract, remote position focused on delivering high-quality installation services for fencing and retaining wall systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Installing gabion basket walls, modular block retaining walls, and associated fencing structures in accordance with project designs and engineering specifications.
  • Interpreting construction drawings, preparing sites, managing materials, and operating relevant tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinating with EPS project teams and site stakeholders, adhering to health and safety standards, and documenting progress, issues, and completed work.

Subcontractor squads are expected to:

  • Plan their work schedules.
  • Maintain clear communication.
  • Uphold EP Services Limited’s quality and compliance standards on every project.

Qualifications

  • Strong practical skills in installing retaining walls (gabion baskets, modular block systems) and fencing solutions, with proven experience on construction sites.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and layout plans, and translate them into accurate on-site installation.
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies for temporary and permanent retaining structures, including site preparation, drainage considerations, and structural integrity.
  • Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and small plant relevant to fencing and retaining wall installation, with a commitment to safe work practices.
  • Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, including risk assessment, safe systems of work, and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate as a squad, liaise with contractors and clients, and provide clear updates on progress and issues.
  • Reliable transport, capacity to travel to job sites as required, and flexibility to work across different project types and locations.
