About The Role
An opportunity has arisen to join the School of Social Sciences academic administration team as a School Administrator. The School offers a diverse range of course provision and has active links with many external organisations. This role will offer professional administrative support to a portfolio of courses but will have other School wide duties too.
For these posts, proven experience of working in a busy, complex administrative environment is essential. The posts involve working with a range of staff and a variety of University clients and a wide range of students, therefore excellent communication skills are essential.
Highly developed organisational and administrative skills are essential to the roles, as are excellent written and oral communication skills. The successful candidates will demonstrate attention to detail, be solution focused and able to prioritise their own workload. The roles require excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience of using this software within a busy office environment. The successful candidate will have proven ability to work proactively, using their own initiative to complete tasks. Excellent minute taking skills are also essential, as are organisational skills.
The roles require an ability to respond positively and proactively to all aspects of change and to be effective in changing situations. The successful candidates will be committed to working in a flexible team-based environment.
