Job Description

Responsibilities

The Project Construction Manager reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for the delivery of discrete packages of work assigned by the Project Manager. The Construction Manager will deliver the packages of work with focus on the following main issues:

  • Provides specialist skills, integrity, leadership, and knowledge to installation and discipline package personnel within the project team.
  • Independently manages, evaluates, organizes, and prioritizes work.
  • Understands clients’ requirements and defines installation workscope including equipment and vessel requirements, installation procedures, deliverables, and activities.
  • Inputs into the offshore schedule to optimize efficient use of assets.
  • Inputs into resources planning of the installation team to suit the schedule ensuring they have the required competence to conduct.
  • Inputs into the risk management process with respect to project and client requirements and ensures implementation.
  • Inputs into weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with the client, owning the performance of discrete packages managed.
  • Manages the development of relevant installation and operational deliverables and activities prior to and during the offshore execution phase.
  • Focal point with the Client, Marine Warranty Survey, and 3rd Parties regarding installation scope of work.
  • Inputs into project KPIs, setting and communicating performance standards required to achieve project success in the execute phase of the project.
  • Maintains registers/schedules; acts as an interface with other discipline groups; manages day-to-day project activities.
  • Fully endorses and executes all Health, Safety, and Environmental initiatives.
  • Interfaces with SCM, Commercial, and Legal to ensure compliance with company policies and IMR contract for the execution of work.

This position may have supervisory responsibilities in projects.

Reporting Relationship

Reports directly to IMR Project Manager

  • Inputs into weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports

Working Conditions

This position is considered primarily office work with occasional travel to international on and offshore locations. Project team are Aberdeen based but remote working may be considered.

Required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferably 8 or more years' relevant experience from the subsea industry.
  • Ability to travel internationally for work scopes.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport
  • Must be able to obtain:
    • Seamen’s book
    • Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)

DESIRED

  • Managerial skills, ideally Package Management / Construction Manager or Project Manager experience
  • Prior experience working internationally.
  • Experience with conflict resolution and change management
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite of applications, namely Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
