RCDS is looking for substitute teachers for daily placements in all grades. A bachelor's degree is required, with NJ Teacher Certification preferred. NJ background check is required.
Compensation: $130/day
Job Title: Custodial Staff Member
Department: Facilities Operations
Reports To: Director of Finance, Facilities & Operations
Classification: 12-Month
Position Overview
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Clean and sanitize facilities, which includes classroom, bathrooms, offices, locker rooms, cafeteria, and common areas, including:
- sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing floors
- emptying trash and recycling receptacles
- washing windows, doors and glass surfaces
- disinfecting surface areas and fixtures
- and additional cleaning duties that may be assigned.
- Safely perform basic maintenance and repairs, which include but are not limited to:
- changing lights
- changing filters
- fixing door handles
- repairing loose railings
- painting
- and similar repairs that may be required.
- Set up and break down spaces for school events, assemblies, meetings, and extracurricular activities.
- During winter months, safely perform snow removal from sidewalks and entrances using a shovel or snow blower.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to address classroom and facility needs, including repairing desks, providing supplies, and moving furniture as requested.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues to complete assigned tasks efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain the external property and landscaping, including cutting grass, weeding, trimming hedges, spreading mulch when needed, and lining fields for games, among other basic landscaping duties.
- Must be available for working additional hours, when required, to assist during school-sanctioned events (i.e. rummage sale, gator bash, book fair, dances, etc.). This may include but is not limited to, moving tables, running wire, moving and carrying boxes if needed taking out the trash, setting up each event, and similar tasks.
- Other similar duties as required from the position.

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to operate custodial equipment (snowblowers, buffers, vacuums, and similar equipment)
Schedule: The maintenance staff has two shifts, 7 a.m.-4 p.m., and 1 p.m.-10 p.m.
Salary Range: $38k-$42k
