Junior to Mid-Level Subtitler - Shift (UK)

Key Responsibilities

As a Subtitler, you will be responsible for the end-to-end handling of quality control for subtitles in multiple languages. This will include preliminary error checks, full technical QC and final post-processing. Projects usually involve numerous languages and versions, shared among the team, so there is a lot of collaboration, even while you focus on your own particular tasks. We are not looking for people to translate or provide full linguistic QC, but language skills are always valuable.

To succeed at EIKON, candidates must be enthusiastic, reliable, flexible and above all professional with a great determination to succeed. They'll be comfortable working to tight deadlines, manage time and pressure well and have extremely high standards of quality. It is a fast-paced industry, where clients’ needs are constantly changing, so it’s important to be adaptable and comfortable making informed decisions in ambiguous situations. They should be confident to take on complex projects and seek solutions to unexpected complications.

The Localization team you’ll be joining works closely with other departments at EIKON and opportunities often arise to be involved in new projects which expand the scope of our work. We’re constantly developing new workflows, so are looking for people with the desire and ability to learn new software and processes. We’d like to give you the chance to develop your skills and contribute to the continuing success of our company.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
