Job Details:

Location: Cambridge, UK

Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time either in a hybrid or onsite throughout the duration of the intern term.

What You Will Be Doing:

Do you want to help improve experiences of groundbreaking AMD products? If so, AMD Hardware team is the right place for you. We are seeking a highly motivated Hardware Engineering intern/co-op and in this role:

  • You will collaborate with Engineers and be responsible for some of AMD's discrete and embedded hardware products.
  • We will train you to build applications for external and internal use as well as large-scale systems that improve the efficiency of AMD Hardware organization.

Who Are We Looking For:

  • You are currently enrolled in a UK-based University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • If you have knowledge/experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas) and are enthusiastic about this role, we strongly encourage you to apply:
    • Experience/Knowledge of Digital and/or analog Logic Design and Optimization
    • Scripting languages such as C/C++, TCL, Perl, Python, Java, Ruby
    • Computer architecture, CPU & GPU architecture
    • Verilog, VHDL
    • ASIC design and verification
    • Hardware automation, validation, and test
