About the Role
The People, Culture and Wellbeing team is exploring how artificial intelligence can help solve real workplace challenges and improve the way people services are delivered. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of people, technology, and innovation. Over 12 weeks, you’ll work alongside our team to identify opportunities where AI could save time, make information easier to access, improve our people experience, and enable better use of trusted workforce information.
You’ll engage with users to understand current challenges, investigate practical applications of AI, and assess what could work in practice. But this is more than a research project. We are not just looking for a report. You’ll help shortlist the most promising opportunities, select one to explore further, and develop it into a proof of concept. You’ll test your ideas with users, learn what works and what doesn't, and leave us with practical recommendations and a roadmap that we can continue beyond your internship.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
