St Andrew’s College Language Schools is looking for an organised, proactive, and experienced Summer School Operations Coordinator to join our Operations team in Glasgow.
This is a varied, fast-paced role supporting the planning and delivery of our junior summer school programmes across Scotland. You will coordinate multiple summer school centres and work closely with university partners, suppliers, agents, and our seasonal management teams to ensure programmes run safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
A major part of the role is student welfare and safeguarding. The successful candidate will act as Lead Child Protection Officer (LCPO) for their region, coordinating safeguarding and child protection procedures across their assigned centres.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating the operational planning and delivery of assigned summer school centres
- Acting as LCPO and overseeing safeguarding, welfare, and risk assessment procedures
- Planning activity and excursion programmes, transport, and airport transfers
- Liaising with universities, accommodation providers, attractions, and other suppliers
- Coordinating rooming, catering, student information, and special requirements
- Supporting the recruitment, induction, and management of seasonal staff
- Maintaining accurate operational records, bookings, and programme information
- Supporting budgeting, supplier invoices, and summer expenditure
- Liaising with international agents and responding to programme and centre queries
- Supporting marketing activity, campus information, and FAM trips

About You
We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, resilient, and comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change quickly. You should have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the confidence to coordinate multiple projects and teams simultaneously.

Previous experience within EFL, education, summer schools, youth programmes, operations, or a similar environment would be highly beneficial. Experience working with under-18s and an understanding of safeguarding responsibilities are particularly important.
This would suit someone who enjoys a role with real ownership and variety – combining operations, logistics, safeguarding, staff coordination, supplier management, and international education.
