The Eastham Department of Public Works is looking for motivated, dependable, and hardworking individuals to join our DPW/Sanitation Division for the summer season. As a Seasonal DPW Laborer, you’ll play a hands-on role in keeping Eastham clean, safe, and running smoothly. Work includes a variety of essential public works and sanitation tasks that support our residents and visitors throughout the busy summer months.
Duties May Include:
- Assisting with transfer station operations and maintenance
- Supporting street and roadside maintenance, including pothole repair and cleanup
- Maintaining parks, cemeteries, and municipal properties
- Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment
- Operating hand tools and small power equipment
- Helping with special projects, community events, and emergency response as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Reliable and punctual individuals with a strong work ethic
- Ability to perform physical work outdoors in varying conditions
- Team players who take pride in contributing to their community
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, and support essential town services during the summer season. Hours and days of work vary. Weekends and Holidays required. CORI and SORI checks are required upon offer of a position. Starting pay $25.00 per hour.
