Primary Objective
In broad terms, briefly state the major purpose of the primary objective of this position.
Safely operate heatset machinery to meet and exceed quality, production, and efficiency goals. Function as a primary source of finish application in yarn conversion resulting in resistance to wear, dimensional stability and its design meeting the specifications of the product.
Major Function and Scope
Using brief narrative statements, describe each major function of responsibility explaining the scope of the function as appropriate.
- Threads and repairs breakouts to maintain efficiency and meet production standards
- Proactively identifies yarn quality during production runs
- Selects and stages tubes for winder operation
- Doffs off finished yarn packages as required
- Maintains daily production records
- Runs both creeling and winding side when needed
- Uses black light to check there are no mixes
- Attends any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
- Follows all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies
- Performs general housekeeping duties as necessary
- Performs other tasks assigned by management

Type of Experience and Knowledge
Knowledge, Experience, Certifications: Describe the education, knowledge required, years of experience, specific skills and abilities required to do the job on a fully competent basis.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Successful completion of all required on the job training
- Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training
- Previous Yarn or Manufacturing experience is preferred
