Description
Calvert Independent School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated educational leader to serve as Superintendent of Schools. The district is looking for an individual who will provide strong leadership, support students and staff, work collaboratively with the Board of Trustees and community, and continue to move Calvert ISD forward.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas Superintendent Certification
- Texas Mid-Management/Principal Certification preferred
- Successful experience in educational leadership and administration
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Knowledge of Texas public school law, finance, curriculum, personnel, and district operations
- Ability to work effectively with the Board of Trustees, staff, students, parents, and community

Responsibilities
The Superintendent will serve as the chief executive officer of Calvert ISD and will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the district, including:
- Providing instructional and administrative leadership
- Working collaboratively with the Board of Trustees to establish and accomplish district goals
- Overseeing district personnel, operations, finance, and programs
- Promoting student achievement and academic success
- Maintaining effective communication with employees, families, and the community
- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws, Texas Education Agency requirements, and Board policy
- Developing and maintaining a positive district culture focused on students, staff, and community

Salary
Salary and contract terms will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and determined by the Calvert ISD Board of Trustees.
