Reporting to the Manager Service Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the performance, stability and resilience of core infrastructure and communications services across the business. The role provides leadership and oversight of ICT service delivery functions, including Service Desk, Infrastructure and Communications support teams, while ensuring effective incident, problem, change, asset and service level management practices. The Superintendent Asset Ops ICT will work closely with internal stakeholders, outsourced service providers and technology partners to support operational continuity, service excellence and the evolving technology needs of Gold Fields' global operations.

  • Provide end-user support through helpdesk services to resolve user issues and offer training on ICT tools and best practices to enhance productivity and minimize user-related incidents.
  • Keep an accurate inventory of ICT assets and manage the configuration of these assets throughout their lifecycle to support other service management processes.
  • Manage the Gold Fields ICT outsource partners and associated contracts to best serve the operating assets.
  • Manage IT Financials to maintain the targets set by the Office of the CIO.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
