You will lead and coordinate a team of Electronics Engineers and Electronic Technicians while providing technical support across complex range systems.

The role would suit an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer, Lead Electronics Engineer, Electronics Engineering Supervisor, or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineer with a background in defence, maritime, industrial electronics, telecommunications, or a similar technically demanding environment.

  • Support the maintenance, development, testing, and deployment of maritime range instrumentation.
  • Provide operational engineering support during maritime trials and range activities.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electronic and system faults.
  • Support system integration, testing, and commissioning.
  • Work with telemetry, tracking, communications, and data acquisition systems.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of underwater instrumentation and associated electronic systems.
  • Produce and review technical documentation, engineering reports, procedures, and test documentation.
  • Manage technical activities from initial concept through to implementation and operational support.
  • Ensure engineering activities meet required quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with internal engineering, operations, and technical teams to ensure systems remain available and fit for purpose.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to less experienced engineers and technicians.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
