Connect Fostering is a growing independent fostering agency committed to providing high-quality support to foster carers and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Supervising Social Worker to join our team.
This is an opportunity for a Social Worker who enjoys building positive relationships, working alongside foster carers and having a direct impact on the lives of children and young people.
The Role
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for supporting and supervising a caseload of foster carers, ensuring they receive the guidance, support and professional challenge they need to provide safe and effective care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and supporting foster carers through regular supervision and visits.
- Building strong, professional relationships with foster carers and children.
- Monitoring placements and identifying any support or training needs.
- Working closely with Local Authorities, children's social workers and other professionals.
- Contributing to placement planning, reviews and safeguarding processes.
- Supporting carers through challenging situations and helping them develop their skills and confidence.
- Completing high-quality records, reports and assessments within required timescales.
- Participating in foster carer recruitment, assessment, training and development where required.
- Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of the fostering service.
- Ensuring that all work is undertaken in accordance with fostering regulations, safeguarding requirements and Connect Fostering's policies and procedures.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- A qualified Social Worker with relevant children's social care experience.
- Registered with Social Work England.
- Experienced in working with children, young people and families.
- Confident working independently while also being a strong team player.
- Able to build positive relationships while providing appropriate professional challenge.
- Organised and able to manage a caseload effectively.
- A strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Committed to safeguarding and achieving positive outcomes for children.
- Previous fostering experience is desirable but not essential. We would also welcome applications from experienced children's social workers looking to move into fostering.
