Role Description
The Supervising Social Worker is a full-time, on-site role based in London. The role involves supervising and supporting foster carers through regular home visits, supervision meetings, and ongoing professional guidance. The Supervising Social Worker will monitor the wellbeing and progress of children in placement, complete statutory reports and assessments, and contribute to care planning in partnership with Local Authorities. - Attending and participating in reviews, planning meetings, and training sessions
- Maintaining accurate and timely records in line with regulatory and agency requirements
- Promoting safeguarding best practice
- Supporting carer recruitment and training
- Contributing to service development to ensure high-quality outcomes for children and young people

Qualifications
- Recognized social work qualification (e.g., degree in Social Work) and registration with the appropriate professional body
- Experience in fostering, looked-after children, or child protection social work, with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance
- Skilled in assessment, care planning, report writing, and case management within a child-centered practice framework
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage children, foster carers, and professional partners
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while managing a caseload and meeting deadlines
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, inclusion, and anti-discriminatory practice
- IT literacy, including use of case management systems and standard office software
- Willingness to undertake ongoing professional development and participate in training and supervision
