Are you an experienced Conveyancing Solicitor ready to combine technical excellence, leadership and legal oversight in a role where you can genuinely influence quality, compliance and team success?
We're looking for a talented Supervising Solicitor to join our specialist Mortgagee in Possession (MiP) Conveyancing Team. This is a unique opportunity for a qualified solicitor who thrives on delivering high-quality legal advice while coaching and developing others, improving processes and ensuring the highest standards of compliance and client service.
About the Role
Working closely with operational leadership, you'll act as the team's legal expert helping shape best practice, support legal excellence and drive continuous improvement across a growing and successful department. This is a varied and rewarding position where you'll balance your own caseload with a broader supervisory and quality assurance remit.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and legal oversight across the conveyancing team.
- Supervise fee earners and case handlers, offering support on complex conveyancing and title matters.
- Conduct file reviews to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and client requirements.
- Identify risks, trends and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex and high-risk transactions.
- Deliver coaching, mentoring and technical training to colleagues.
- Build strong relationships with lenders, clients, asset managers and key stakeholders.
- Manage your own caseload of Mortgagee in Possession transactions from instruction through to completion.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor status with a current practising certificate.
- Significant residential conveyancing experience, including Mortgagee in Possession matters.
- Excellent technical knowledge of property law, title review and conveyancing practice.
- Experience supervising legal teams or providing technical oversight.
- Strong risk assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Experience carrying out file reviews and quality assurance activity.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong knowledge of HM Land Registry processes, registrations and requisition management.
Desirable
- Experience working with lender clients and asset management companies.
- Knowledge of legal compliance and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience developing legal processes, controls and quality assurance frameworks.
