Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Supervisor role based in Glasgow. The Supervisor will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and adherence to health, safety, and compliance standards. The role involves leading and motivating the store team, delegating tasks, managing rotas, and ensuring excellent customer service aligned with Holland & Barrett’s wellness-focused values. The Supervisor will help maintain merchandising standards, monitor stock levels, support promotional activity, and contribute to achieving sales and performance targets. This position also includes coaching team members, supporting their development through product and wellness knowledge, and promoting a positive, inclusive work environment.

Qualifications
- Experience in retail or customer-facing environments, with a proven ability to deliver high-quality service and support diverse customer needs.
- Team leadership skills, including the ability to motivate colleagues, delegate tasks effectively, and manage day-to-day staff activities.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with experience handling cash, following operational procedures, and maintaining store standards.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback, coach team members, and work collaboratively.
- Interest in health and wellness, and willingness to develop product and advisory knowledge to support customers with evidence-based information.
- Basic numeracy and IT skills for point-of-sale systems, inventory checks, and digital tools used in-store.
- Flexibility to work a range of part-time shifts, including weekends and evenings, as required by the store’s operating hours.
- Previous supervisory experience in retail or hospitality is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided through Holland & Barrett’s learning programmes.
