Contract Supervisor

University of Bristol

Full Time, Permanent

Competitive salary, private healthcare and flexible benefits

Summary

NG Bailey's Engineering team has just delivered a brand-new, state-of-the-art building for the University of Bristol, and we're now mobilising the Facilities Services team who will keep it running. We're looking for a proactive Contract Supervisor to support health, safety and compliance for the contract from day one.

This is a great opportunity to help shape a new contract from the ground up, working closely with the Compliance Manager and wider operational team to make sure standards are met and maintained across the site every day.

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

  • Supporting the Compliance Manager in embedding our "Safety First and Foremost" culture across every part of the contract.
  • Acting as a visible, hands-on presence on site, offering practical, day-to-day advice to engineers and operational staff.
  • Building strong working relationships with the client and site stakeholders, promoting collaboration and best practice.
  • Carrying out routine site inspections, audits and compliance checks against NG Bailey and client standards.
  • Supporting incident and near-miss investigations, helping identify root causes and track corrective actions through to completion.
  • Assisting with health and safety reporting and documentation ahead of operational meetings and client forums.
  • Helping coordinate toolbox talks and safety briefings across the site team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
