Supervisor – Capital Works – Voids and Tenanted Properties
Location: Coatbridge
Contract Type: Full time - Permanent – 40hrs per week
Salary: Up to £42,464.80 per annum, plus a car allowance or Company vehicle and great company benefits!
We are looking for TWO Supervisors to join our team in Coatbridge!
Mears have continued investment in the North Lanarkshire community for the long-term. We have a commitment to deliver excellent services to residents, whilst bringing community and training benefits to the North Lanarkshire community in a sustainable way.
The successful Supervisors will be responsible for supervisory duties across our contracts including Capital Works voids and tenanted properties.
You will ensure all work and procedures are being undertaken efficiently, in compliance with company operating procedures and delivering best in class customer service, whilst satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for the operational supervision of current and future contract activities, ensuring maximum productivity, profitability, and satisfaction, supervising and overseeing multi-trade and specialist work.
- Ensuring works are adequately resourced, are being effectively delivered to set quality standards, completed on time and within budgets and essential and carrying out regular Quality Audits and Competence Assessments of operatives and specialist sub-contractors.
- Demonstrate, maintain and monitor the company’s commitments to best practice with legislation, codes of practice & good working practices relevant to all work activities; ensuring that is contributes to the customer experience by adopting a professional manner when communicating with all stakeholders.

Responsible for the operational supervision of contract activities
- Supervise and monitor work delivery, progression & completion
- Ensure compliance and adherence to H&S regulations
- Ensure the customer experience is central to all activities
- Manage employees’ performance, coach and develop individuals in their roles
- Monitor and maintain all supplied company assets, including operatives vans, van stocks, material purchases, tools, plant hire, uniform and PPE.
- Follow and support policies, procedures, initiatives and work instructions at all times
- Undertake any other duties as required by the company
Key Criteria
- Excellent communication
- Supervisory Experience in a similar operation
- Managing, Monitoring, Recording and reporting of Health and Safety compliance
- Trade Background
- People management with the ability to lead & mentor others
- Ability to negotiate and influence others
- Strong customer focus
- IT literate
- Full UK driving license
Previous experience in social housing and working in Capital Works would be preferred.
