Repairs and Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Peterborough

Full Time Permanent

Salary up to £41,696.17 per annum, plus, company van & fuel card

42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday- Friday)

“A desire to make a positive difference wherever we operate has always been at the heart of our business. It was over 30 years ago when we were a small maintenance contractor with a single van; and it still is now we are a truly national company”.

About the role:

We’re looking for an experienced Supervisor to join us following a new social housing contract win in Peterborough. This is a hands-on role, split between the office and site, where you’ll be responsible for overseeing reactive repairs in occupied homes.

It’s a great opportunity to be involved from the early stages of a new contract, helping to establish the service locally with a strong flow of ongoing work. You’ll have a real influence on how the repairs service is delivered, making sure homes are kept safe, compliant, and well maintained for residents, and making a genuine difference day to day.

Duties:

  • Supervise the day-to-day delivery of responsive repairs across occupied homes
  • Ensure all repairs are completed safely, on time, and to agreed quality standards
  • Carry out regular site visits to monitor repairs progress, resolve issues, and maintain resident satisfaction
  • Inspection of the equipment
  • Allocate operatives, subcontractors, and resources effectively to meet repairs KPIs and contractual targets
  • Plan and manage repairs workloads to minimise disruption to residents
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures across all repairs activity
  • Complete post-inspection quality checks and ensure remedial actions are closed out
  • Lead, support, and performance-manage repairs operatives, providing day-to-day supervision and coaching
  • Identify skills gaps and support training and development within the repairs team
  • Apply HR policies relating to attendance, conduct, and performance management
  • Manage repairs assets including vans, tools, PPE, and van stock
  • Monitor materials usage and order supplies to support cost-effective repairs delivery
  • Use repairs systems and reports to track performance, productivity, and job completion
  • Act as a point of contact for residents, resolving repairs issues professionally and promptly
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate repairs delivery
  • Support contract mobilisation, audits, and continuous improvement within repairs services
  • Assist with cost control, forecasting, and identifying efficiencies within repairs operations
  • Provide supervisory cover during absences or peak repairs demand
  • Attend toolbox talks, repairs briefings, training, and company meetings
  • Ensure all repairs activities reflect company values and a professional service at all times

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
