The Role
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced supervisor for an exciting new opportunity based in the Midlands, where you'd be field-based, supporting operations across multiple sites when required.
The successful candidate will join our established team and be responsible for ensuring that business operations are running effectively, meeting customer expectations while supporting company objectives.
In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for customer requests, while managing the performance of your direct reporting team to maintain industry-leading levels of service delivery. This will involve ensuring excellent customer relations, communication, and adherence to all relevant company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include demonstrating expertise in the SQDCM measures:
Safety
- Perform Risk Assessments and escalate relevant concerns.
- Monitor Manual Handling protocols.
- Ensure COSHH awareness and control measures are enforced.
- Conduct Workplace Health and Safety Inspection Checks.

Quality
- Create and maintain well-defined work element sheets (Work Instructions).
- Train and inspect the Deputy Supervisor & inspectors using boundary samples and defined work instructions.
- Conduct Standardised Work Confirmations.
- Engage with the Autoscan Practical Problem-Solving process (8D) when necessary.
Delivery
- Initiate new jobs (Containment & Engineering) via our internal work instruction authoring & Data reporting system (EOS).
- Serve as the single point of contact for quality technicians & engineers, agreeing reporting methods and frequency.
- Ensure all contaminant activity/jobs meet customer volume targets.
Cost
- Manage the Direct Hour Distribution Confirmation through our internal reporting system.
- Monitor and adjust containment activities to improve efficiency.
- Monitor and resolve any non-chargeable hours on-site.
Morale
- Coach & mentor direct reporting team, leading by example.
- Manage attendance and timekeeping of your team via our internal reporting system.
- Practice "Go Look See" – Walk your area every shift.

Essential Criteria:
✔ Must possess a valid right to work in the UK without restrictions ✔ Must undergo a standard criminal record check (DBS) ✔ Previous experience in an Automotive manufacturing environment or similar ✔ Must hold a Full UK driving licence ✔ Must be willing to travel to different customer sites ✔ Computer literate, with good knowledge and experience of Excel ✔ Must have previous experience within a supervisory role
