Department: CSG - Strategic (Advocacy / Costs / Safety, Health and Environment / Criminal / Abuse / Travel)

Location: Birmingham

Description

The CSG costs product currently deals with some 700 instructions a month dealing with a wide range of work types referred from all the different clusters within DAC Beachcroft. The strategic aim of the department is to provide litigation costs expertise on demand across the broad range of work carried out throughout the business from low value injury claims to complex multi-million international commercial litigation.

As well as providing services relating to all aspects of costs litigation, data review and e-disclosure support services are also delivered by specialist manual review lawyer teams. These teams routinely deliver high-volume, fast-paced document analysis across a broad range of origins including cyber, multi-party litigation and sensitive dense disclosure exercises.

There are currently two opportunities for supervisors of the data review teams for applicants with experience of document review, disclosure projects and knowledge of using eDiscovery platforms.

The teams deliver work that is consistent, well-documented, and defensible, suitable for litigation, regulatory disclosures, DSAR responses, and incident-response contexts. These are full-time positions and are an ideal opportunity for a Lawyer or experienced Paralegal with manual data review experience to develop their skill-set supervising other lawyers and service delivery as part of a growth area.

  • Take responsibility for and supervise up to 5 direct reports
  • Reviewers are trained to categorise information with precision, including; Relevance and responsiveness, Sensitivity and confidentiality, Privilege protections, Issue coding and Redaction standards.

  • Demonstrating a high level of financial management in respect of own files
  • To hit, maintain and apply a consistent approach to all individual targets of chargeable time, financial performance, realisation rates, settlement rates and average claim spend, achieving a minimum budgeted annual target of around 1200 chargeable hours per year.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
