Position: Supervisor Location: Midlands (Field Based, must be able to travel) Company: auto-scan Pay Rate: £13.10 per hour (PAYE) Start Date: Immediate

The Role
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced supervisor for an exciting opportunity based in the Midlands area. As a field-based supervisor supporting our operations across multiple sites, the successful candidate will:
- Ensure business operations run effectively according to customer expectations and support company objectives
- Serve as the first point of contact for customer requests
- Manage the performance of direct reporting teams to deliver industry-leading service levels while maintaining excellent customer relations and communication
Key Responsibilities (SQDCM Measures):
- Safety
- Perform risk assessments, escalate concerns
- Monitor manual handling
- Ensure COSHH awareness and control measures adhere to standards
- Conduct workplace health and safety inspection checks

Quality
- Create and manage well-defined work element sheets (Work Instructions)
- Train deputy supervisors and inspectors using boundary samples and defined work instructions
- Conduct Standardised Work Confirmations
- Complete the AutoScan Practical Problem-Solving process (8D) when required

Delivery
- Initiate new jobs (Containment & Engineering) via internal work instruction authoring & data reporting system (EOS)
- Serve as the single point of contact for quality technicians & engineers to agree reporting method and frequency
- Ensure all contaminant activity/jobs meet customer objectives in terms of volume targets

Cost
- Manage direct hour distribution confirmation via internal reporting system
- Monitor and adjust containment activities to maintain efficiency
- Safeguard non-chargeable hours for your site

Morale
- Coach and mentor your direct reporting team, setting the standard
- Manage attendance and timekeeping via internal reporting system
- Conduct “GO LOOK SEE” inspections and walk areas regularly

Requirements
- Valid right to work in the UK (unrestricted)
- Must undergo a standard criminal record check (DBS)
- Previous experience in an automotive manufacturing environment or similar
- Full UK driving licence
- Must demonstrate the ability to travel to different customer sites
- Computer literate with strong Excel knowledge/experience
- Proven experience within a supervisory role
