About The Role

Supervisor (Full-time And Part-time Available) position in Ashford with Pertemps DHL, paying £15.60 to £25.75 per hour. This role involves directing daily team activities, coordinating workloads, and prioritising tasks to maintain efficient operations. You will oversee loading and unloading procedures, including manual handling with roller cages and MHE, while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Administrative duties include completing manual or electronic reports and updating the PINC Yard Management System. Collaboration with on-site partners supports the inspection process. Both full-time and part-time contracts are offered. Prior supervisory experience is essential, alongside strong organisational skills and familiarity with warehouse environments.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced supervisor to join our client’s team.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Supervising teams in daily activities
  • Co-ordinating daily working groups and workloads
  • Prioritising taskings and
  • Carry out relevant administrative tasks to ensure the successful running of operational teams and processes
  • Loading and unloading lorries including manual handling, using roller cages and other MHE
  • Ensuring the correct handling of all client products at all stages within the facility whilst remaining compliant with manual handling procedures and health and safety legislation.
  • Undertaking manual and/or electronic reporting requirements as requested
  • Work with our on-site partners to support the inspection process
  • Updating the PINC Yard Management System following training
  • Carry out operational tasks to achieve departmental and site objectives
  • Maintain the inspection environment following training
  • COSHH Awareness following training
  • Participate and complete required training and development relevant to role.
  • Champion a health and safety culture

  • Logistics experience in a large fast-moving environment
  • Strong warehouse system experience
  • A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work
  • Experience of working to agreed targets
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Understanding of warehouse practices e.g. loading, unloading vehicles.

Conditions

  • Shift patterns will be Monday to Friday OR Saturdays and Sundays (both full-time and part-time available)
  • Shifts are 06:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00
  • Weekly or monthly pay available
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including covering holidays and absence when required
  • Pay rates £15.60 up to £25.75 overtime rate

To Be Eligible You Need

  • NO unspent convictions and be able to pass a basic Criminal Record Check/Disclosure (DBS check)
  • Ability to provide 3 years referencing contacts and have been resident in the UK for the last 5 years.
  • The right to work in the UK
