Job Description
Reporting to the Store Manager at Glasgow Airport, this is a key permanent role within our retail store, with overall responsibility for the efficient running of a retail unit in line with the requirements of the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the day-to-day running of the designated unit or such other company retail unit as required
- Maximise the profitability of the unit through good customer service and increased sales
- Ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained at all times
- Minimise shrinkage by ensuring stock control is tight and all incoming/outgoing stock is correctly administered
- Be responsible for the security of the shop and its contents – any incidents of theft to be reported immediately to the Store Manager/Area Manager
- Ensure the Health & Safety of customers and fellow employees by reporting, in writing, any defects in the fabric of the unit to the Store Manager for the appropriate remedial action
- Ensure that all company cash procedures are followed and that any unders/overs are notified to the Store Manager/Area Manager
- Ensure that all window and internal displays are of a high standard and up-to-date
- Organise staff rest periods and rest breaks in accordance with statutory requirements ensuring correct balance of staffing is in place at all times
- Ensure colleagues are properly trained in the day-to-day running of the store
- Ensure attendance schedules and relevant documentation is filled out accurately and completely
- Ensure awareness of and compliance with Health and Safety requirements and Fire Regulations and that colleagues are provided with the necessary instruction/training requirements
- Ensure that any incident/accident to fellow employees or to customers, however small, is recorded in the Company accident book
- Undertake other responsibilities that evolve with development, knowledge and familiarity of the post

- Experience working within a Retail environment in a management role or similar
- Additional requirements:
- Ability to work flexibly over 7 days, including weekends, evenings, and match days
