Supervisor

Business Unit: 5350 - NH South West

Location: Taunton

Job Role

Ringway is looking to recruit an experienced Supervisor to join our Traffic Management team based at our Chelston Depot in Somerset.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with a strong background in traffic management who is looking to take the next step in their career with a leading highways services provider.

Duties

As Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of operational teams, ensuring employees are deployed safely and efficiently across the network. You'll play a key role in coordinating works, maintaining depot compliance standards, and supporting operational delivery across the contract.

Your Duties Will Include

  • Briefing operatives and allocating daily work activities.
  • Preparing job packs and ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Supervising traffic management operations and ensuring safe working practices.
  • Conducting depot compliance checks and health & safety inspections.
  • Managing weekly, monthly and quarterly compliance activities.
  • Liaising with clients and operational stakeholders.
  • Maintaining operational records and reports using Microsoft Excel and other systems.
  • Supporting and developing operational teams.

Person Specification

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience within Traffic Management or a similar operational environment.
  • Sector Scheme 12 LTMO qualification.
  • Traffic Management supervisory experience.
  • TSS / NHSS qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • The ability to manage teams, prioritise workloads and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Contract Type: Permanent
