Job Role
Eurovia Surfacing is seeking an experienced Bituminous Surfacing Supervisor to join its growing operations team. This role will be responsible for overseeing machine surfacing works across a range of highway maintenance and infrastructure projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
The successful candidate will be a knowledgeable surfacing professional with proven experience supervising bituminous machine surfacing operations and a strong understanding of Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA) and Pre-Coated Chippings (PCC).
Duties
- Supervise bituminous machine surfacing operations on highway and infrastructure projects.
- Manage surfacing gangs, subcontractors, plant, and material resources.
- Ensure works are completed safely, on programme, and in accordance with client specifications.
- Oversee the laying of Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA) and the application of Pre-Coated Chippings (PCC).
- Monitor quality, productivity, and compliance throughout project delivery.
- Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and safety inspections.
- Liaise with Contracts Managers, clients, and operational teams to coordinate work activities.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards.
- Complete site records, reports, and daily documentation.

Person Specification
- Proven experience supervising bituminous machine surfacing works.
- Strong knowledge of Hot Rolled Asphalt (HRA) and Pre-Coated Chippings (PCC) operations.
- Experience working on highways, local authority, or major infrastructure projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification preferred.
- CSCS card essential.
- Full UK driving licence.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time - 45 - Monday to Friday
