Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, perform preventive maintenance, and recommend the replacement of tools, devices, and equipment.

  • Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, etc.

  • Identify, locate, and use all shut-off valves.

  • Order, mark, and store parts and supplies as needed.

  • Keep inventory and purchase order logs up-to-date.

  • Inspect tools, equipment, or machinery.

  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers.

  • Operate the forklift.

  • Complete the personal safety checklist, including checking the fire pump and generator.

  • Inspect fire hydrants and alarm systems.

  • Assist in developing disaster response protocols.

  • Respond to and fulfill customer repair requests.

  • Assist management in hiring, training, evaluating, counseling, motivating, and supporting employees; setting their schedules and reminding them of discipline rules.

  • Follow all company policies and procedures; report maintenance issues, hazardous working conditions, accidents, and injuries; and successfully complete safety training and certifications.

  • Ensure that your uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain the confidentiality of proprietary information.

  • Welcome and greet all customers according to company standards; anticipate and address customer service needs; assist individuals with disabilities.

  • Develop positive and constructive working relationships with peers; unite and support each other to achieve common goals; listen and respond appropriately to other employees' problems.

  • Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards; and identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or achieve cost savings.

  • Use clear and courteous language during all communications.

  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machinery.

  • Reach above the head and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and set down loads weighing up to 23 kilos independently.

  • Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.

  • Be accustomed to working while standing, sitting, and being in motion for an extended period.

  • Ascend and descend stairs and service ramps.

  • Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by supervisors.

Recommended Education:

  • Diploma from a technical, vocational, or professional institution.

Relevant Work Experience:

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.

Supervisory Experience:

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
