Fulfilment Supervisor

Your purpose (in a nutshell)

As a Fulfilment Supervisor, you will receive support and guidance from the Operations Manager while leading a team of Warehouse Operatives. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with quality standards and achieving the highest possible throughput. You will utilize best practices and provide comprehensive staff training to meet and exceed productivity and CPU targets.

You will be accountable for:

  • Supervision and Operations Management

    • Overseeing Warehouse Operatives and managing operations within your zone. This includes monitoring throughputs, ensuring optimal parcel presentation, maintaining productivity levels, and achieving forecasted CPU against budgeted targets.
  • Client SLA Management

    • Within your zone, managing and upholding Client SLAs by working through Aged Order and other available reports, providing regular updates to the Shift Manager.
  • Leadership and KPI Achievement

    • With the support of the Shift Manager, leading, organising, and managing Warehouse Operatives to ensure relevant KPIs are met on an hourly, daily, and weekly basis.

  • Performance Management

    • Conducting regular coaching sessions, one to one’s performance reviews, and team meetings with Warehouse Operatives to drive continuous improvement.
  • Training and Development

    • Providing comprehensive training to new and existing warehouse colleagues on picking, packing, and stock control processes to ensure tasks are completed without service risks.
  • Health & Safety Compliance

    • With the support of the Shift Manager, overseeing all health and safety, hygiene, and quality audits, including risk assessments and safe systems of work within your zone during shifts.
  • Workstation Maintenance

    • Ensuring all workstations, PCs, scales, and scanners, are fully operational along with maintaining high hygiene standards and ensure work areas are free of waste.
  • Reporting and Documentation

    • Ensuring all required reporting documentation and manifests are maintained to the highest standards and within specified timescales.
  • Operational Excellence

    • Promoting and driving consistency to ensure the delivery of exceptional operational standards.
  • High-Performance Culture

    • Leading by example to foster a high-performance, people-oriented culture within your area that encourages innovative thinking.

To be successful in this role you will require the following…

Qualifications:

  • Educated to GCSE level with strong Maths English competency or demonstrable equivalent business experience
  • PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience of working in Distribution Management along with a customer-focussed industry, logistics or retail industry.
  • An understanding of KPIs and their drivers.
  • Ability to coach, support and motivate colleagues.
  • Working on own initiative in a pressurised environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Problem solving, planning effective contingencies and solutions.
  • Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.

  • Highly numerate, skilled and experienced in MS Office with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to use internal systems and equipment.
