Position Summary

Westman Atelier is recruiting dynamic, inspirational Retail Supervisor with a passion for clean, luxury beauty at Selfridges. The perfect candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, with a passion for the beauty industry and a desire to lead, coach and develop sales associates to achieve all sales, customer service and operational targets. Candidates should be confident, driven, and have proven artistry and leadership skills.

This is an exceptional opportunity for you to support the growth of our Selfridges account. You will be responsible for assisting the Counter Manager in developing the team of retail artists to hit their sales targets and service expectations, as well as playing a part in the operations of the day to day running of the counter.

If you are a self-starter with a flair for business planning and a passion for coaching others to reach their full potential, this could be the perfect role for you and the first step towards a long-term fulfilling career with a clean, luxury-performance artistry brand.

Responsibilities:

  • Prior supervisory or team leader experience preferred
  • Previous make-up artistry or luxury skincare experience preferred; however we welcome applicants who are creative, excited, and eager to learn, and who are comfortable providing makeup applications on a regular basis
  • 100% target achievement of sales, services, items per transaction, average unit sale and mix of business
  • Coach, motivate and develop sales associates to help them achieve personal and business goals
  • Ability to thrive in a commissioned sales environment
  • Provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate excellent standards of timekeeping and attendance
  • Develop effective communicative relationships with in-store and brand management
  • Execute vendor and store events and promotions
  • Collaborate with Beauty Stylists, Personal Shoppers and other key associates within Selfridges.
  • Operational:
    • Implement visual merchandising, new launch displays and collateral placement as directed by Westman Atelier
    • Ensure stock room and counter stock is organized and in a methodical manner
    • Support Stock Keeper and Counter Manager in relation to all stock management, including cycle counts and stock takes
    • Take ownership of hygiene and tester orders on counter
    • Maintain excellent counter hygiene standards
    • Maintain store standards and policies at all times

  • 3-5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Team player with a positive outlook
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills
  • Passionate about clean beauty
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Makeup artistry skills with the ability to connect artistry and education to sales
  • Flexible schedule and available to work weekends
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management, work collaboratively and build positive/effective business partnerships
  • Ability to work independently
  • Effective planning, organizational, and time management skills
