Supervisor

Annual salary: up to £42,463.00

Location: Coatbridge/Motherwell

Contract: Permanent, Full Time, Monday to Friday 08:00am to 4:30pm

Salary: £42,463 per annum plus £3,500 annual car allowance

We are looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our team in Coatbridge & Motherwell, leading the delivery of reactive maintenance services across the area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong operational and people management skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building positive client relationships.

In this role, you will oversee a team of approximately 15 direct reports, managing workloads, monitoring performance, ensuring jobs are completed to the required standards and supporting the operational success of the contract. You will work closely with clients and colleagues to ensure service delivery targets, compliance requirements and financial commitments are achieved.

About the Role

As Supervisor, you will be responsible for the operational supervision of maintenance activities, ensuring productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction are achieved through effective planning and resource management.

  • Manage the central operational team servicing the Motherwell/Coatbridge area
  • Lead and support a team of approximately 15 direct reports
  • Monitor and manage work in progress to ensure performance targets are achieved
  • Ensure works are completed on time, within budget and to required quality standards
  • Carry out site visits to monitor work delivery, progression and completion
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety legislation and company procedures
  • Produce management reports covering operational performance and activities
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to maintain effective relationships
  • Challenge incomplete works and ensure jobs are closed promptly
  • Monitor operational compliance including photographic evidence requirements
  • Support employee performance through coaching, development and training
  • Manage company assets including vehicles, materials, tools, plant hire, uniform and PPE
  • Provide cover for other supervisors when required
  • Attend company and client meetings and training sessions as necessary

Key Criteria

  • Supervisory experience in a similar operational environment, or relevant experience and skills to take the next step into a supervisory role.
  • Experience managing, monitoring, recording and reporting health and safety compliance
  • Broad knowledge of general repairs and maintenance
  • Strong organisational and workload management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Outgoing and proactive approach
  • Receptive to feedback and able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Social housing experience is desirable
