Sparta Global are hiring a Supplier & Contract Manager

Sparta Global are hiring a Supplier & Contract Manager to support the effective management of third-party suppliers within a complex technology and data environment.

This is a 6-Month Fixed Term Contract, requiring 2 days per week in our client's office in either Manchester or Liverpool - whichever is easiest for you!

Role Overview:

The role will focus on managing supplier relationships, monitoring contract performance, producing supplier reporting, supporting supplier reviews, and ensuring supplier onboarding and offboarding activity is well controlled. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, delivery teams and external suppliers to ensure contracted services are performing effectively and aligned to business needs.

This role would suit someone with experience in supplier management, contract management, vendor performance, commercial support or service delivery governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the end-to-end lifecycle management of supplier contracts.
  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed deliverables, service expectations and contractual obligations.
  • Prepare regular reporting and updates on contract performance, supplier metrics, risks, issues and service outcomes.
  • Support supplier review meetings, ensuring actions are documented, followed up and progressed.
  • Help assess and review potential suppliers, providing clear information to support supplier selection activity.
  • Manage or support supplier onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Build effective working relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Act as a point of contact for supplier-related queries, performance updates and contract management activity.
  • Identify supplier performance issues and escalate risks where appropriate.
  • Support continuous improvement in supplier management processes, reporting and governance.
  • Ensure supplier activity is aligned with wider service, operational and business objectives.
  • Maintain accurate contract, supplier and performance documentation.

  • Experience in supplier management, vendor management, contract management or commercial support.
  • Experience tracking and reporting on supplier performance, contract performance or service metrics.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with both internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Ability to manage supplier meetings, actions, risks and performance updates.
  • Good understanding of contract lifecycle activity, including onboarding, performance review and offboarding.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident challenging suppliers or stakeholders where performance, process or delivery expectations are unclear.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple suppliers, updates and actions at once.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced or changing environment.
  • Able to produce clear reports, summaries and updates for senior stakeholders.
