As a Supplier Delivery Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring suppliers consistently meet Baker Hughes delivery, quality, and operational performance expectations. You will be responsible for driving supplier execution, managing supplier recovery and improvement initiatives, mitigating supply chain risks, and leading cross-functional collaboration to support business objectives. This role requires extensive domestic and international travel to supplier facilities to assess operations, drive corrective actions, improve supplier performance, and ensure continuity of supply for critical products and services.

Responsibilities

As a Supplier Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing supplier delivery performance and ensuring materials, components, and services are available to meet business and customer requirements.
  • Building strategic relationships with suppliers and serving as the primary point of contact for supplier delivery and operational performance matters.
  • Driving supplier recovery plans, risk mitigation activities, and performance improvement initiatives to achieve delivery, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Conducting regular supplier business reviews and on-site assessments to evaluate operational performance, manufacturing capacity, production readiness, and risk exposure.
  • Collaborating with planning, sourcing, quality, engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of supply chain activities.
  • Monitoring supplier performance metrics, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions to improve on-time delivery and operational excellence.
  • Resolving supply chain challenges through proactive engagement, escalation management, and stakeholder communication while ensuring business continuity.
  • Traveling extensively to domestic and international supplier locations to support critical deliveries, supplier development initiatives, capacity assessments, audits, and operational reviews.

Fuel Your Passion

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Have significant experience in supplier delivery, procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, manufacturing operations, or supplier development within an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing suppliers of complex, engineered, long lead-time, and high-value products.
  • Possess strong supplier relationship management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence outcomes across multiple functions.
  • Have experience driving supplier performance improvement, recovery plans, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including experience utilizing ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent business systems.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage suppliers, customers, and senior leadership teams.
  • Be willing and able to undertake extensive domestic and international travel (up to 70-80%) to supplier locations to support business priorities, operational reviews, supplier development, and delivery performance improvement initiatives.
