Supply Chain Development Specialist
Up to £49,000
📍 Midlands | Hybrid
✈️ Regular supplier visits across the Midlands with occasional travel to Prestwick
Are you experienced in supply chain planning, scheduling or supplier management within a complex manufacturing environment?
We're looking for a Supply Chain Development Specialist to play a key role in supporting supplier performance, resolving supply chain challenges and ensuring critical parts are delivered on time.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with suppliers, manufacturing, engineering and quality teams to identify risks, drive recovery plans and keep production moving.
The Role
- Support suppliers in recovering performance and improving delivery.
- Visit suppliers across the Midlands to identify issues, implement recovery plans and build strong relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance and communicate risks to key stakeholders.
- Maintain supplier schedules and ensure MRP/ERP data is accurate.
- Assess the supply chain impact of engineering changes.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to resolve supply issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply base.
- Help optimise inventory while maintaining continuity of supply.

About You
We're keen to hear from people with experience in:
- Supply Chain Planning
- Production Planning or Scheduling
- Materials Planning
- Supplier Management
- Supplier Performance or Supplier Development
- Supply Chain Execution

You'll also bring:
- Experience within aerospace, defence or another complex manufacturing environment.
- A good understanding of MRP/ERP systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- An analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of Lean or Continuous Improvement methodologies is desirable.
Location & Travel
This role is based in the Midlands and involves regular travel to supplier sites across the region, with occasional travel to the Prestwick office as required.
