IT Supplier Manager – Digital Information
Reading HQ - 3–4 days per week onsite in Reading is required
Active SC Clearance mandatory – DV preferred
Up to £85 p/h Inside IR35
This role requires a regular onsite presence in Reading, with 3–4 days per week onsite.
We are seeking an experienced security cleared IT Supplier Manager to support the definition and execution of an IT supplier strategy and management framework within a highly regulated Aerospace and Defence environment.
The role will work closely with Digital Information leadership, Procurement, Finance, Service Management and wider business stakeholders to manage the end-to-end IT supplier lifecycle, from supplier evaluation and selection through to contract management, performance reviews and offboarding.
Key Skills
- At least 3+ years in IT supplier management, including supplier identification and evaluation, contracting, performance management, and offboarding
- Proven experience in defining and executing an IT supplier strategy, preferably within a highly regulated industry (Aerospace, Defence, Nuclear or similar industry)
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrable experience in negotiating complex IT contracts, preferably on an international basis
- Strong understanding of IT compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements
- Evidence of improving existing IT supplier management (e.g., cost effectiveness, customer satisfaction)
- Good understanding of the IT supplier landscape (System Integrators (SIs), including key service offerings, strengths, weaknesses
- Experience in managing and/or overseeing the transition of IT supplier contracts between two or more legal entities
- Proven experience in defining and establishing a robust IT supplier governance framework, including but not limited to tendering and performance management

- Partner with Digital Information leadership and Procurement to define and execute an IT supplier strategy that optimises performance, reduces risk and aligns with business and technology objectives.
- Align supplier strategy with the wider Digital Information technology strategy and relevant value stream roadmaps.
- Help establish and operate a robust IT supplier governance framework.
- Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, Digital Information teams and IT suppliers.
- Support the procurement of IT supplier services, including tender processes, commercial negotiations and contract renewals.
- Identify and drive initiatives to improve supplier performance, including quality, cost effectiveness, customer satisfaction and innovation.
- Identify, manage and resolve supplier service gaps, risks, compliance issues and performance concerns.
- Participate in key IT service and business meetings, including CAB, supplier performance reviews and operational meetings.
- Maintain awareness of current approaches, best practice and techniques in IT supplier management.
